Litter and Pollution
BWT thanks all visitors who refrain from dropping rubbish, leaving the space as tidy as they found it. You can now report litter, graffiti, or dog fouling to Bearsted Parish Council by texting 07917 624278 or emailing the Parish Clerk.
Pollution. Following an oil-spill on the A20 in January 2010, which theatened Major's Lake, BWT learned that members of the public are encouraged to report any signs of pollution they may notice to the Reactive Pollution Team on 01622 602202 or via the Environment Agency hotline 0800 807060.
Dog litter bins can be found at the entrances to BWT land, opposite the Bowls Club, near Holy Cross Church and in Gore Meadow, and Bearsted Parish Council organise twice weekly emptying. Pet Owners are requested to use them. Dog litter bags are available from the Parish Council, Bearsted News, Taylors Newsagents, Madginford Vets and Roseacre School.
