Page 10: Management

Regular woodland work is done by BWT voluntary work parties.

And the Trust has its own specialised equipment.

Grass cutting is done all Summer by trained volunteers.

With proper regard for Health and Safety.

Including important eye and ear protection.

Definitely healthy open-air work, and in good company!

Local contractors are hired for large seasonal tasks.

The trust do not wish to own farming equipment!

New trees are carefully selected and planting begins in November.

Planting is a skilled job and BWT volunteers have been trained.

New trees are supported and protected until they are established.

Good watering is very important if new trees are to flourish.
