Volunteer workparties
Extra volunteers are sometimes needed for special "one off" projects like the children's maze, so if you cannot manage a regular rota, watch this space!
The essential regular maintenance of the BWT land is mainly carried out by volunteers, and organising it is a complicated balancing act of seasonal tasks, available people and weather conditions. The system is masterminded by our conservation expert and our maintenance organiser, who plan the schedule with regular meetings and impressive wall charts. Mixing in the requirements of sponsorship just adds an extra dimension!

Regular work days are led by:-
Jeff Winn (730477) on the 1st Thursday of each month
Dave Johnson (730321) on the 3rd Thursday of each month
We meet at 9.00 am at the tractor barn (south of the main entrance from the Church Landway) and finish at 12.00-12.30. Parking is available in the church car park at the end of Church Lane.
Tools and full training sessions are provided as necessary. The tasks are light and medium work. Old clothes, garden gloves and suitable footwear are recommended, and there will be a mid-morning break. For further information, and to learn about workparties on other days, please contact the Maintenance Organiser.

This team, complete with "Head Gardener" hat, have just put the kettle on.
