We have had sightings of Kingfishers on BWT land near the Lilk Stream and Major's Lake. They are a protected species, found by still or slowly flowing water in lowland areas.
Their bright blue and orange is unmistakeable, and they fly rapidly to hunt fish from riverside perches.
