Sculptures in dead wood, sadly, have short lives. Our owls are only five years old, but the tree has been rotting.

Bearsted Woodland Trust is open for recreational use in line with current Government advice.

  • Please do not gather or walk in groups.
  • Keep the same safe distance from anyone you meet.
  • If you do not feel well, or are in the high risk groups, please stay at home.

Bearsted Woodland Trust protects and maintains 26 acres of woodland and meadow, restoring and enhancing a natural habitat for animals and plants and providing a place of recreation for local residents and visitors.  There are a wide variety of English native trees, with information boards to help identify  plants, birds, flowers and insects. Also special gates and gentle paths for wheelchairs, baby buggies or electric scooters.
